The core mission of the WDN is to connect women leaders and aspiring leaders with their counterparts around the world to share best practices and learn new skills. To support this goal, the WDN conducts regional and bi-regional training seminars and conferences for women all over the world.
Training topics are defined by members and include women’s political party leadership, advocacy skills, campaign finance and strategy, voter outreach, women’s economic empowerment, communications and media outreach, coalition building and campaign management. Other programs focus on women in the civil society sector and provide women with specialized leadership training, news skills on advocacy and how to work with local-elected officials.
WDN partners with IRI to provide seminars give female political party activists, civil society leaders and elected officials the opportunity to participate in training programs and networking opportunities with their peers from around the world.
