The International Republican Institute established the Jeane J. Kirkpatrick Award in 2008 in memory of Dr. Kirkpatrick, a long-time IRI board member and strong advocate for IRI’s women’s programming and the establishment of the Women’s Democracy Network.

The 2012 Jeane J. Kirkpatrick Award recipients were Ambassador Constance Morella and Tunisian journalist and rights activist Sihem Bensedrine

The 2011 Jeane J. Kirkpatrick Award recipients were Frances Fragos Townsend, former Assistant to President George W. Bush for Homeland Security and Counterterrorism, andSherry Rehman, member of the Pakistan National Assembly and ranking member of the National Security Committee.

The 2010 Jeane J. Kirkpatrick Award recipients were Congresswoman Ileana Ros-Lehtinen and the Iraqi Women’s Leadership Institute.

The 2009 Jeane J. Kirkpatrick Award recipients were Congresswoman Kay Granger and the Movement of Afghan Sisters.
